A trial of the Construction Information Service is available until September 30th 2007.
The Construction Information Service provides electronic access to an index of standards, regulatory and advisory documents for the UK construction industry plus their full-text images, either scanned facsimiles or in Adobe PDF format. The Service gives you both bibliographic data such as document titles and summaries and facsimile images of the original documents.

Here are September’s interesting snippets from the Internet Resources Newsletter :
New journal: Professional Engineering Publishing has issued the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part P: Journal of Sports Engineering and Technology.
The International Journal of Computer, Information, and Systems Science, and Engineering (IJCISSE) is available on open access. It focusses on theories, methods and applications and is fully refereed.
The 1st Workshop of the Sustainable Building, Construction and Energy Harvesting Technologies takes place at the National Physical Laboratory, Middlesex on 24th September. This is an Eco-Innovation Workshop and ”will be of interest to all those interested in products, innovation and sustainability.”
A new engineering wiki, TechKnow is described as “a knowledge repository of engineering learning and reference support content.”
Finally, for those of you seeking pastures new, a couple of recruitment sites: Techno is UK based and covers IT, engineering, electronics and telecoms. ExpatEngineer is an engineering recruitment portal advertising jobs worldwide.
